    We target top experts in defense and related fields: officers, security policymakers, academics, defense industry executives, diplomats, think tank professionals and more - to cover defense holistically and to prevent disruptive, relevant ideas from shattering at the boundaries of certain microcosms.

    Our platform aims to become the key to uniting the defense landscape: ASCALON is intended to bring together a wide variety of stakeholders, facilitate qualified specialist discussions and simplify the transfer of knowledge in the security sector - with the aim of creating a canon, a common understanding.

    We offer functions that are tailored to the defense sector: »Familiar« elements such as a feed for specialist discussions, but also a curated area for expert information and industry news, a marketplace, a learning tool and much more. Customer feedback is vital to us to continuously upgrade our product.

FAQ

  • ASCALON offers the opportunity to forge top-class connections in the defense sector that are not easily accessible through other networks. We therefore have to carry out a strict selection process. You can apply for an invitation to the network here (we will send them out as soon as the platform goes online) or, alternatively, you have two options for becoming part of the platform: Via an invitation from someone who is already a member or via an invitation from a certified partner institution.

  • If the spearhead of the defense sector is your target audience, an outstanding product must be created. Developing such a product while also ensuring the security of the user's data is a complex process. However, we expect to be able to provide the first functions in Q4 2025.

  • A smaller target audience and high-quality, curated content result in considerable expenses for us. In order to be able to offer our users an excellent experience, we have to pass on these costs. It is not yet possible to fully estimate the resources required - however, we will inform you well in advance and provide extensive trial plans for all users.

  • ASCALON must comply with the highest safety standards in terms of both people and technology. We subject every member to a security check and have them show us their ID documents; we are also planning an API for the German security authorities. In addition, we do everything technically possible to ensure that sensitive data remains protected.

  • The greatest benefit from ASCALON will only come when we internationalize the user base, which is one of our major concerns. To achieve this, we are currently in contact with renowned institutions in the NATO area. However, the project will start in Germany and will soon be extended to the European Union and then to other countries, in particular the USA and Canada.

  • We are always on the search for high-class partner institutions: universities, military organizations or educational facilities, think tanks and other relevant entities. The decisive factor for cooperation is not the size of your institution, but its quality. We offer attractive conditions for our partners: they receive invitation quotas or, in individual cases, even unlimited invitations to ASCALON (e.g. for their course participants or professionals) and then receive a share of the membership fees of the users who join the network.   • We are looking for private investors to accelerate the expansion of the platform. We are not tied to specific financing models and are open to various options.
